Good Day to you all

At our next event on the 23rd October 2016 We will be holding a short AGM Meeting - The last AGM took less than 5 mins so please do not let this put you off from coming to see Michel Keijman talking on His trip to Cameroon and the sp Benitochromis !

Notice of AGM: October 23rd 2016

The BCA will hold a short AGM on Sunday 23rd October 2016 at the Oak Hotel, 8640 Stratford Road, Hockley Heath, B94 5NW at 09:50 to report on progress made since the Autumn 2015 AGM and to conduct other urgent BCA business without delay.

Resolutions are invited and also requests to join the committee in ANY of the positions listed below. They must be sent to the Secretary, With Details of the proposer proposer and seconder (If you need Clarification on this please contact me and I will Explain).

At the time of writing of this notice We do have vacant positions available Chairman, Secretary and membership Secretary for the forthcoming year. If any member wants more information with regards to the role would they please contact myself and I will supply you with details of the position (Job description) and what is expected of you in this role.

I will point out that ALL committee positions are available if you wish to apply, the roles mentioned above are from the committee who have decided not to stand for their position and we are calling for you to come forward and be an officer of your association

All resolutions and Proposal for Committee positions must reach the Secretary no later than 1st October 2016.

If the proposer and seconder are unable to attend the AGM, the meeting will still consider the proposal. If both proposer and seconder are unable to attend, it would be helpful if they submit written statement to be read in support or the resolution. However, if neither proposer nor seconder is present, they will not be given the opportunity to comment on any amendments put forward at the AGM. Only voting members of the BCA may put forward resolutions to the AGM.

All resolutions received will be acknowledged by email unless a SAE is enclosed so please include either your email address or a SAE with your submission.

Agenda

1. Chairman’s opening remarks and vision for the BCA for the forth coming Year and the year that has passed.
2. Apologies for Absence (must be sent to the Secretary before the AGM).
3. Acceptance of the minutes from the AGM Held on the 6th September 2015
4. Acceptance of the Accounts for the year ended June 30th 2015.
5. Officers Reports from the committee.
6. Resolutions.
7. Election of Officers for the Committee.
A) Chairman
B) Secretary
C) Treasurer
D) Cichlidae Editor
E) Membership Secretary
F) Publicity Officer
G) Webmaster
8. Any other Business.

There is a discount for members at the venue if you are stopping overnight but Roger has previously told me of a cheaper place close by so if you wish to meet up with Michel the night before please wait for Roger to give details of where we will be sleeping over

If you still wish to stay at the oak please speak to Kate the conference manager and inform her that you are attending a conference on the 23rd October

I enjoyed the hotel last time and the fry up in the morning was good so i'll be stopping there again :lol: Busy weekend that weekend as it's my birthday on the Saturday (21 again!) and my wedding anniversary on the Sunday.
7x2x2 stocked with Iodotropheus Sprengerae, Metriaclima Mbenji, Cynotilapia sp.Hara, Labidochromis Caeruleus, Metriaclima Aroura Likoma, Pseudotropheus Saulosi
